We have been very fortunate the last couple of seasons with little hurricane activity. But, really, were you ready and will you be ready this season?

1. Install your shutters (if applicable)
2. Secure your balcony or yard items
3. Unplug your appliances and electronics (refrigerators adjust the cold temperature)
4. Adjust the A/C
5. Remove perishables from fridge
6. If applicable, fill your tub with water
7. Secure windows and doors
8. Move your furniture away from windows
9. Remove breakables and art work to the closets (or other place you want)
**10. Create a video tape or take digital pictures of your possessions and rooms for possible insurance claims
