ABOUT THE OWNER

Hello, my name is Richard Krigel. Originally from Detroit I worked my way through college in the 70’s and received my B.S. degree from Wayne State University and soon after moved to South Florida to work with my brother in single family home building.

As my construction education progressed I became his project manager erecting the fastest non prefab home, at the time, in South Florida, 2 weeks from start through decoration and landscaping, and certificate of occupancy.

After completing my housing project I returned to private contracting. I took a position with Burdines home improvements and interior design division. There I learned a great deal about how to do quality finish work and the importance of keeping within a budget and scheduling. Also, I learned the all important ability to work with clients and produce results.

While at Burdines I heard that a new thing, to us in South Florida anyways, was coming, faux finishes. This appealed to me. I thought, I know paint and I know construction. So, I packed my bag and went to Atlanta to take a course taught by the premier teaching school from San Francisco.

So, for the next 10 years I was a faux artist. I worked with high end clients and interior designers. I ran one of the most successful companies of its kind in South Florida. My clients included, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Burdines,major restaurants, designer  homes, Jimmy Johnson’s 3 rings, celebrity clients and a list of others. I never left a customer unsatisfied with my work or workmanship. I had learned my Burdines lessons well.

While doing my faux painting I started buying and selling investment properties. Some I kept and became a hands on landlord. Here I learned the value of wisely spending my money, where to put it for most impact, how to deal with tenants and quick problem solving.

After a shoulder injury side lined my painting career I went into real estate investing full time for the next 7 years.

This has all brought me to this point in my career. Bringing all my experiences in one place at one time to create a business that I believe will help fill a void in the area of homeowner services. I always believed that the homeowner was at a distinct disadvantage. Anything that needed doing at home required them to take costly time from work, impose on a neighbor or hope that others would do as they promised they would do.
